Hexagram 53 – Wind over Mountain: Gradual Progress
Judgment
All things have their proper order.
It is like a daughter preparing for marriage.
For a woman and a man to be united,
it begins with their meeting,
moves through engagement,
and reaches marriage—
each stage has its own rules and procedures.
Even if the heart rushes like a storm,
let your manner remain gentle.
Do not hurry—carry things forward with care.
For two people to live together in strength,
they must nurture each other’s love and heart.
One who cannot sense another’s feelings
cannot live in harmony with others.
Look steadily at yourself,
and move forward with self-respect.
If you cultivate a noble heart
like a great tree standing high on a mountain,
you will surely gain something in time.
Water seeps even into dry land.
In the end, all things are joined,
and blessing comes to those whose hearts are upright.

and ascends to heaven, never returning.
If one’s aspiration is high,
there is blessing.
