Witnessing the Power of Star #1— What Two Twenty-Six-Year-Olds Moved

Witnessing the Power of Star#1

There are moments when silence protects life.
And there are moments when a voice reaches it.

As of January 2026, there are two young people who are twenty-six years old—
both likely to turn twenty-seven this year—
both born under Star #1.

One is a young person living in a distant land.
Holding the wish, “Food on children’s tables,”
this person continued to raise their voice
within a harsh and constrained environment.

The other, the same age and living in a completely different place,
learned of this person’s existence
despite living under internet restrictions.
They raised their voice, saying,
“Please let this name be known to the world.”
With prayer, that call passed from one person to another,
and before long, many voices began to gather.

I cannot say with certainty
what exactly caused what followed.
But the situation moved,
and at the very least,
an irreversible ending has been postponed.

It may have been coincidence.
And yet, it is also true
that voices from around the world
were layered there.

Both are Star #1.
Both belong to the generation
standing at the “core” of this year.

Living under conditions where free expression is difficult,
they still connected,
exchanged voices,
and may have produced a result
that moved reality itself—if only slightly.

It feels like a living symbol
of what this star holds:
the power of water
to cross boundaries and reach beyond.

And yet, at the same time,
there are moments in this era
when raising one’s voice
can place another person in danger.

That is why
we find ourselves standing still,
caught between “speaking” and “protecting.”

I won’t abandon people.
But when kindness itself becomes a risk,
I honestly don’t know how to behave anymore.

If approaching is dangerous,
and distancing is betrayal,
what does “being human” even mean here?

I have no idea.

Still—

the fact that these two young people of Star#1
connected within a restricted world
and may have reached someone’s life

quietly tells us this:

Even in this age,
the power of human beings
to remain human
has not yet disappeared.
