How We Forecast Social Trends
In Nine Star Feng Shui, all people and events in the world are classified into nine categories.
Our master once explained it this way:
“There are more than six billion people in the world, and yet you divide them into only nine types?”
The master replied,
“Exactly. Because there are so many, we divide them into at least nine categories to understand them better.”
This principle applies not only to people, but also to all worldly phenomena.
Amid countless events and movements, we categorize them into nine types and interpret their interrelations.
These classifications are based on the Five Elements (Wu Xing), Yin–Yang theory, and the Ten Heavenly Stems and Twelve Earthly Branches.
The foundation of this system traces back to ancient China, and was later refined by Confucius about 2,000 years ago.
Using this framework, we can read and interpret annual and monthly energies to understand the direction of time.
🌏 Reading the Flow of Society
Each Star governs a different aspect of social dynamics:
- Star #8 represents the overall social atmosphere and trends — it reflects the movement of people’s consciousness and the tone of society.
- Star #6 influences politics and leadership, including decisions made by those in power.
- Star #7 governs the economy and commerce, showing the flow of money and communication in the world.
By observing the movements of these Stars, we can gain insight into how society evolves and where the collective energy is heading.
