Reversal of Front and Back
At the summer solstice—and especially on June 23rd and 24th—the Earth’s energy underwent a shift. The power of the sun reaches its peak at the solstice, and with it, the energy of the Earth and the universe also culminates in yang power. From this point onward, the energy gradually shifts toward yin, heading toward its peak at the winter solstice.
In July, destructive energy (hakai-power)becomes associated with Star #9, which represents the public front stage. At the same time, Star #6, which symbolizes the sun, occupies the center position. In Nine Star Feng Shui, all aspects of the world are categorized into nine stars, each with a unique role. This month, Star #6—which governs society—is at the center. Meanwhile, Star #1, which usually operates behind the scenes, takes the position originally occupied by the southern Star #9 in the original compass chart.
These alignments suggest that a reversal between what is visible and what is hidden in society may occur. Those who have shone in the public eye may begin to fade or retire, while individuals who have been preparing in the background—those with real ability—may rise to prominence. This signals the potential for a major shift.
Both Star #9 and Star #6 govern cosmic and solar energy. With destructive forces and the power of regeneration converging in the center, unstable weather and unexpected climate changes are also likely.
This is also a meaningful time for us to reflect on our own consciousness—both our outer (conscious) and inner (subconscious) selves. It’s a chance to recognize previously unnoticed aspects of our subconscious and bring them into alignment with our conscious awareness. Introspection is especially important during this period.
